About these terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Demystify Systems ("we", "us"), the operator of Lingva, a language-learning subscription service delivered as a website and progressive web app. By creating an account or using Lingva you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your sign-in credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• One account is for one learner; accounts may not be shared or resold.
• We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.

Subscriptions, trials and billing

• Lingva offers free and paid plans. Paid plans unlock additional courses, levels and features as described on the pricing page.
• Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Where a free trial is offered, you can cancel any time during the trial without charge; after the trial the plan converts to a paid subscription at the displayed price.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel from Settings at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, published alongside these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, redistribute or resell course content, audio, video or vocabulary data.
• Reverse-engineer the service or attempt to bypass content access controls or entitlements.
• Upload unlawful, infringing or abusive material in any text field, including support messages and display names.
• Use the service to build a competing dataset or product.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the service.

Our content

All course materials — lessons, exercises, quizzes, audio, video, illustrations and the Lingva name and branding — are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use them for your own learning while your account is in good standing. No other rights are granted.

Your content

Content you submit (for example support messages or feedback) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to operate and improve the service — for example, to reply to your request or fix a reported problem. Feedback and suggestions may be used without obligation to you.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Lingva available and improving, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may add, change or retire features, courses or plans. If we materially reduce what a paid plan includes during a period you have already paid for, you may contact support for a proportionate remedy.

Disclaimers

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the service fits a particular purpose such as passing a specific examination.
• Learning outcomes depend on your own effort; no results are promised.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our registered place of business in India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The date below reflects the latest revision.
